Meet Lulu

For more than 40 years, I have had the privilege of caring for others through nursing, education, and compassionate service.

My journey began in healthcare, where I learned that caring for someone means more than treating a condition. It means listening, honoring their wishes, and being present during life's most meaningful moments.

Today, as a death doula, I continue that work by supporting individuals and families through the end-of-life journey with dignity, comfort, and grace.

Why I Became a Death Doula

Throughout my career as an oncology nurse, I witnessed many people and families navigate the uncertainty and emotions surrounding the dying process. I saw how deeply meaningful it was to have someone present who could provide comfort, reassurance, and support.

Those experiences shaped my belief that no one should feel alone during life's final chapter.

I became a death doula because I wanted to continue walking alongside individuals and families, helping ease fear, encourage meaningful conversations, and create space for connection, reflection, and peace.

My Approach

I believe every person deserves a death experience that honors their story, values, beliefs, and wishes.

My role is not to direct the journey, but to provide a compassionate presence and support the needs of each individual and family. Whether that means creating a peaceful environment, supporting meaningful conversations, incorporating music or spiritual practices, or simply sitting beside someone in quiet companionship, I meet each person exactly where they are.

Beyond My Work

Outside of my work as a death doula, I find deep joy in nature, music, and relationships.

From the peacefulness of redwood forests to the calm of the ocean, nature reminds me of the beauty and rhythm of life. As a harpist, I have experienced the incredible comfort music can bring, especially during tender and emotional moments.

Above all, my greatest joy comes from my family and the meaningful connections that shape our lives.
